Natural History pre GCSE course
At Amberwood we are exploring all aspects of Natural History from Evolution to Continental Drift and all elements in between. The focus is on climate change, biodiversity and sustainability. We look at native species of plants and animal, worldwide ecosystems and the effects that have occurred in the Anthropocene period. We combine classroom presentations with hands-on practical activities to engage the students. We aim to cover the proposed syllabus for the new GCSE in Natural History that will be available in 2025. From time to time experts speakers in various natural history subjects visit us and present engaging and inspiring sessions. Our woodland location is ideal for observing Natural habitats and ecosystems.
